Pink Fizz offers a ‘shopping in style’ service for Oak Park Care Home residents

Local independent clothing and shoe service Pink Fizz visited Oak Park Care Home recently, and proved very popular with our residents.

Pink Fizz offers people the chance to brose and buy a variety of new clothes for all occasions and seasons, including skirts, trousers, jumpers, T, shirts, footwear and even jewellery.

Having a Pink Fizz clothes party visit our home meant residents could purchase new clothes and all without the struggle of having to go to a busy shopping centre, or rely on other people, such as family and friends, to make choices on their behalf. Many of our residents enjoy shopping and prefer to choose their own clothes, and it was lovely to see people making the most of the chance to browse the stock and make their own choices, and all from the comfort of their chair.

If you’re a regular follower of our activities here at Oak Park you will know we never miss a chance to catch up with each other and enjoy a glass of fizz, so the occasion was a great opportunity for residents, family members, friends and staff to get together with a glass of Prosecco and some light refreshments and snacks. It was all part of making the experience special, and a great way to spend an afternoon.

Pink Fizz’s owner kindly donated 10% of her afternoon’s takings to our residents’ fund for extra entertainment and activities, and we are already looking forward to her return at Christmas.
