Saturday afternoon 15th December was quite a day for our residents, family members and friends as Crunchy the petting pony plus Santa and his elf helpers paid a visit to Oak Park Care Home.
Crunchy the Shetland came all dressed up in a pair of antlers and stripy leg warmers, and visited all floors, and residents who were in their rooms through choice. He was a very brave little pony and even used our lift!
Everyone really enjoyed his visit, particularly those residents for whom horses had played a big part in their working lives.
It’s not often you see a pony inside a care home, but he was so well behaved and beautiful. Crunchy certainly put a smile on all our faces here at Oak Park.
